Filming Induction

Today in lesson, we were inducted about how to film on a Canon camera, we found out all the different functions of the camera and how to use it properly in order to create a good quality music video.

First we were taught on how to put the camera onto 1080p and 25fps through the movie rec size which is located within the menu button on the top left hand corner of the camera.. Then we were taught about exposure control with shutter speed of 50 and a experimental aperture. After we fixed that, we changed the picture style to neutral and this allows the camera to create something realistic and natural without an over-glow. The white balance has to be on AWB, which stands for Auto White Balance. White balance creates good lighting and just about adjusts all the light in the room.

Lastly, the focus shouldn't be on AF (Auto Focus) since it is mostly used for photography and if it is used whilst filming, the camera will make noises throughout and this will ruin the music video. Instead, the focus should be on MF (Manual Focus) which allows the camera to run smoothly.
